The article presents results, obtained in the research of links between birth order and sibling’s cognitive development in two-child families. The research included two stages. On the first stage sample entered 113 teenagers (average age was 14,9). On the second stage 70 full families with two children have been studied. Average age of older siblings was 17,7 years, younger – 14,5 years. It was revealed that cognitive traits of younger sibling depend on birth space and style of child-parental relations whereas on intelligence of the senior child the given variables do not render special influence.
