The results of the study of relationships with siblings and peers on a sample of children from multiple-children and one-child families are presented. The subjects were 250 children of preschool, primary school and adolescent age. The interconnections between children relationships parameters and some emotion and personality characteristics are examined. The effects of such factors as age, gender, family size and birth order are analyzed. General and distinctive psychological characteristics that manifest in children at different stages of ontogenesis are identified.
