The results of the study of sociometric status and communication in preschool children with high creative potential are presented. After examination of 110 preschoolers, two groups of children contrast in creative potential level (24 children in each group) were identified. The significant differences between social status in kindergarten group and sociability of highly creative children and their peers were found. Children with high creative potential have on average higher sociometric status than their peers: they are more often chosen as playmates and have more mutual choices. The results of the analysis of relationship between preschoolers’ social and creative development characteristics are given.
