The phenomenon of subjective vitality as a philosophical issue and an object of psychological investigation is considered. The paper focuses on the role and status of subjective vitality in personality structure. It is shown that in foreign studies subjective vitality is seen as a derivate of personal autonomy and a subjective well-being index. The empirical study results are presented (subjects were school and university students). The obtained data develop the concept of subjective vitality and prove that subjective vitality plays an important role in coping process and development of personality being not only a measure psychological well-being but an independent personal resource.
