The results of the study of conscious choice of dominant forms and ways of self-presentation in teenagers with distinct differences in self-categorization (N = 66, average age = 15,8) are presented. Features of personal and social identity presentation in teenagers, factors and conditions that determine fining preferences of real or virtual self-presentation are identified. It is shown that the form and ways of self-presentation in teenagers depend on the domination of personal or social components of identity along with a teenager’s attitude to his/her own appearance and reflection of actual social competence.
