The article is devoted to analysis of the role of "non-academic" skills (emotional, social intelligence and sense of humor as the ability to understand and produce funny) in coulduse behavior of the subject. On the basis of empirical research we reach the conclusion about their impact on the expansion of the repertoire of strategies of coping behavior, increasing its flexibility as well as on the perception and conceptualization of a difficult situation from the point of view of gaining experience and personal growth.
